Potters Bar & District Historical Society

                                                                  REGD.CHARITY NO.299475

The Society was founded in 1959, and our object is to study all aspects of local history, to record changes in the district, and to encourage the preservation of things and knowledge of local interest.

Newsletters are published during the year to keep members informed of our activities. A formal publication, 'The Journal', when produced, is free to members.

The Society publishes numerous booklets on subjects of locally historical interest, including roads, railways, the Zeppelin, memoirs of former residents, and much more. These publications may be purchased from The Health Food Shop in The Broadway (Darkes Lane), and Brays at 84 High Street. Subscriptions (due annually in April):  Adults £3,   Family or Group membership £5

The Society holds monthly lecture meetings in the 60 plus Room at Wyllyotts, starting at 8pm prompt. Visitors are welcome; admission £1.
